Baby Crib Bedding And Linens – Make Sure They're Soft And Comfortable

Many parents don’t always consider the bedding a new baby needs for their crib. Baby crib bedding and linens are an important consideration. To start with you will need three or four bottom fitted crib sheets to cover the babies mattress. Some mothers will put an extra padding under the sheet to keep it more comfortable on the plastic mattress surface. If you buy a set of baby crib bedding and linens you will usually get a top sheet. You will get a small quilt to keep the baby warm and not over crowd it in the crib. Some sets will include a tiny pillow but most doctors will recommend that babies do not use a pillow in their beds.

The next concern that you will need to have for your babies crib is bumper pads to keep your child from getting pressed against the bars of his crib. These are often part of baby crib bedding and linens when you buy them as a set. They can be purchased separately and you may want to have several sets to allow for cleaning. Be careful to select a material that you can wash and dry easily at home in your own machine. It will be inconvenient if they require dry cleaning.

Baby crib bedding and linens should be made from a high quality cloth, as a baby’s skin can be very sensitive. Rough materials can cause skin irritations and an unhappy baby. The detergent you use to wash them in should be selected with care for the same reason.
